Loosely inspired by a recent somewhat heart-breaking post by Cardinal Guzman, I decided that the world needs more bad poetry.
At peace,
At home.
Alone.
Quiet, but not quite.
The kettle boiling,
Coffee brewing—
Another day, another night.

“Another day, another night.” Yes, unfortunately. More loneliness to deal with.
Thanks for the mention though, it made me feel slightly better. 🙂
And apropos poetry:
“one can never be sure whether it’s good poetry or bad acid”

Bukowski has some good quotes. It’s funny, when I produced this “poem”, loneliness was the feeling I had on mind. I don’t think it’s quite clear from it, I guess it depends on your own state of mind, how you interpret it.

Bad poetry is better than no poetry I think?

Life is so often about the same old same old…..I think you nailed it, in a quiet sort of way….

Thank you for your kind words! Much of life is routine, and I like routine, yet, at times, it’s deadening.

Yes its the reason why we need to re-invent ourselves from time to time. I did it in my working career, otherwise I’d have gone insane I think.

It’s not bad – reminds me of mornings ..

The attempted “poem” was about any part of day – for me, it would be evening, but it could be morning for you!

What is “bad poetry” anyway? Personally, I like it. It definitely captures that calm, home-alone feeling.

True, it’s hard to say what constitutes good and bad poetry – though I suspect mine is more on the bad side! At least, I had some fun writing this 🙂
