Celebrating (the) Muse

I think the band Muse chose their name appropriately, as their music happens to have an inspiring effect on me. Here are my/their favourite songs. Hopefully you won’t have nightmares involving stuffed bears and rats.

“Uprising”

“Undisclosed Desires”

“Resistance”

    1. Yes. The “Resistance” song is possibly the most powerful of the three. Of course, you were the one who made me aware of this band in the first place, for which I’m quite happy — I never know how to find music that I’d like, so I’m grateful for any recommendations that turn out to be what I like!

  1. Haha,I never expected you’d love Muse.
I used to be a big,big fan some years ago, before Resistance(the album) came out.
I felt at that time that they strayed from their origins (their new music was too incoherent with what I used to love).
I used to have all their albums and THAT epic concert at Wembley.
And there are so many songs I love from them.

And what about Radiohead, the band that inspired Muse the most?

    1. And I really love the new lay out.
The white and the red goes really well together, and the fonts are clean and crisp.
      I’m a fan of such style. 🙂

Don’t change it unless you come up with something even better.

      1. Oh, thank you so much for the compliment! This means very much to me: as you, there are major changes in my life now and I wanted to update my online identity too. I craved something more simple and cleaner, precisely as you say, so I’m very happy that I achieved the desired effect. No way I’m changing the look now, I’m fine with that and will focus on other tasks at hand now! Thank you again; and it was a pleasure to have you around!

    2. Don’t I look like a person who would like Muse? 😉 I admit I have little knowledge of the band’s career and I only know a few of their most popular songs across the time. I can’t see therefore if or how they strayed from their origins, as you say, and you got me now a bit intrigued about the Wembley concert — I may need to try to find a record of it 😉 Radiohead? I’ve heard the name but don’t recall any of their music. I will look into it and will let you know!

    1. “Uprising” was actually the first song I heard from Muse, and I loved it immediately. Then came “Undisclosed Desires” and “Resistance”, the latter is my current favourite. It’s good to hear that you’re a fellow fan!
