    1. Trees have a special kind of raw beauty in winter, and I’m glad if I managed to capture some of it in my modest pictures! Thank you for stopping by πŸ˜‰

  1. Happy New Year my lovely kitty wife! I always love the majestic look and architecture of trees but the one that catches me is the line of trees and how perfectly they line up and the tops like a perfect fringe!

    1. Thank you for stopping by, Amy! It’s interesting that you and Desleyjane have the same favourites! It’s good to know and something for me to build on. Have a great new year with many great photos πŸ˜‰ !

  2. Lovely photos, bleak landscape is my favourite and yet it is not bleak at all.
And I have the strangest feeling that I have seen some of these trees
I wish you all you hope for in 2015, with love…

    1. Dejavu? πŸ˜‰ I actually like bleak landscapes. Though I prefer bleak cityscapes to rural landscapes. Thank you so much for your wishes; and all the best to you too! The best and more than the best.

  3. Lovely set of winter photos, Mara. Very gloomy but I am sure the mood where you are is warm. After all, it is the New Year and I hope you are enjoying yourself with those around you πŸ™‚ Best wishes for the year ahead and chat soon πŸ™‚ ❀

    1. Thank you, Mabel! I assume these landscapes must strike you as very alien and unfamiliar, but hopefully not too gloomy! There is some beauty even in bleakness. Here is to a great new year to you, all the best! ❀

      1. At the moment, those gloomy winter photos are alien to me…summer is in full swing here! You are right. There is always beauty in darkness, and when light comes around, it is then that we appreciate it so much more.

Good luck with your thesis this year and all the best πŸ™‚ ❀

    1. Hello, Laurien! What a beautiful new avatar πŸ˜‰ ! You are right, winter is associated with rest in nature, and it can have a calming and restful effect, as you point out. Glad that you enjoyed, and have a happy new year!
