Weekly Photo Challenge: Endurance

Ancient cathedrals signify to me the endurance of those who built them, centuries ago, with crude tools. Believers will find endurance here in the religious sense too. In response to WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge.

    1. Happy Friday (and weekend!) to you, Janet, it’s always nice to have you around! I’ll looking forward to checking out your response to the prompt 😀

    1. Neither am I a believer, yet cathedrals always had a special charm for me. We have a plenty of impressive Gothic cathedrals in my country, and it fascinates me to watch them from outside. I find the inside usually too oppressive though. Anyway, thanks for stopping by! 🙂

        1. I had to google stave churches and I’m hugely impressed. Not only are they more ancient than our cathedrals but they are also nicer — a wooden building might be not as majestic as a stone building but on the upside, it doesn’t give this oppressive feeling that there is about cathedrals.

    1. Why, thank you 😀 It’s not perhaps very original, but this white cathedral is my favourite — it looks so clean and nice, of course, you can’t tell it from this photo. I’ll need to post some more pictures of this structure later!

        1. Good! I think I’ll work on a photo gallery on the theme of architecture, so that I could put more of such pictures together. You’ll surely know it when you see it, if you happen to be around 🙂

          1. Oh I’ll be around for infinite amount of time, you don’t have to worry about that at all…I only disappear during my exams and when the studies get too hectic to handle both blogging and university 😦

          2. I see… Hope your studies will go fine! It’s very important for me too, to manage to work and study while blogging, so I think I can imagine 🙂

  1. Very nicely shot! Today i guess, in this world, when too many people are fighting with their brethren, i wonder if religion is enduring such intolerant human beings. What do you say?

    1. Hello and thanks for stopping by! I’d rather not elaborate on my thoughts on religion, enough being said when I identify myself as a nonbeliever; but I believe it’s obvious that violence is not what one could endure and tolerate.
