I can’t decide if this scene of country life is picturesque, plain or outright ugly. Help?

My Husband the Exhibitionist

My Husband the Exhibitionist

Summer splashing

I made a discovery. My husband is an exhibitionist. If I were a voyeur, we would make a perfect couple.

I’m shy for both of us. Looking at nude people distracts me. The male nurse who was taking an x-ray of my chest the other day to see how my lungs are doing likewise thought it distracting. He dressed me in some belts and whatnots for the x-ray, then forgot all about it and let me walk away all bound up. I wonder what distracted him.

Another time, after arriving at my in-law’s garden pool, my husband proceeded to change into his trunks. The proximity of male relatives did not bother him while doing so. Shy on his behalf, I bolted to hide in a shed and crawled back only when sure that everyone was properly clothed. Nobody else stripped that day. Much to my relief.

Are you shy too or is it me? And should I be worried?

Day 26: An Article It Is

Part of series From Scratch to Super(Wo)man: My Take on the Zero-to-Hero Challenge

Today’s task is to develop a draft. This is excellent, as I was hoping for some writing to do. It is also too bad, as I have no drafts to develop. I don’t draft, I either write it or don’t. (Mostly I don’t.) A new draft it is then.

I drafted a slightly shocking stripping story (are you curious?) and a silly cat column. I can’t decide which of the two is less bad to publish. I think neither or both. Both it is then.

What bothers me is that I need to add a new category for articles. I don’t have one because I miraculously managed to blog for half a year without actually writing anything. What bothers me even more is that I need to write content for my new category. Writing it is then.

Day 25: Widget Wizardry

Part of series From Scratch to Super(Wo)man: My Take on the Zero-to-Hero Challenge

Today’s homework is to plagiarise. In other words – if I may twist the house decoration metaphor of the assignment – today you should visit your neighbours, make a tour of their house and then get the same garden gnome like they have. If I were the neighbour, I’d be flattered and irritated. Obviously, I’m not the neighbour and apparently, the blogosphere doesn’t view design feature plagiarism as a grave offence.

I make a policy of never stealing anything (in order to avoid being caught). I also found out that whatever design customisation it is that I’d like for my blog, it’s always an integral part of the other blogger’s theme. This makes stealing things, I mean, getting inspired by things, complicated. I believe I completed the task by rearranging my widgets for the 101st time and updating my header for the 202nd time.

If anyone knows when the blog will look passable enough for me to stop fiddling with the design, please tell me. I’m dying to stop fiddling and start blogging.

Continuing in my obsession with benches. My attraction to resting places can be possibly explained by my laziness.

Day 24: A Share in Sharing

Part of series From Scratch to Super(Wo)man: My Take on the Zero-to-Hero Challenge

Today’s task it to read and comment on posts in response to the challenge that you picked the other day. I mean the day when I didn’t pick any challenge but instead stuck with the Weekly Photo prompt and stuck on my home page a sticky post in response to it. As a result of this I’m now stuck.

I’m also insomniac. I can’t sleep because I deliberately deconstructed yesterday’s homework and didn’t promote any fellow bloggers as requested. The ghosts of their unshared posts haunt me. I’ll do my share in the sharing now and please stop nagging me, will you? Go to sleep already, and so will I.

Are you still there? I hope you didn’t go to bed because I wasn’t talking to you but to the ghosts. I’m talking to you now. (No, it’s not complicated at all, and yes, I haven’t slept properly for some time now.) Here I pass on my recent blog discoveries that made searching for new reads worthwhile to me.

  • RED 365: a talented visionary’s photo project.
  • Da Dork: a perfect harmony of form and content.
  • FireBonnet: the happiest and best-designed blog.

I find this wheel simply adorable. I wish I had one of these. Though I may need a car first.
